About Our Program
Welcome to the Henry Ford Providence Internal Medicine Residency Program!
We are a community-based academic-affiliated residency affiliated with Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. We offer a well-balanced environment with a diverse practice setting and patient population. Henry Ford Providence Hospital, home of 18 residencies and fellowships, also hosts medical students from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, College of Osteopathic Medicine, and the American University of the Caribbean. At any time, we have about 100 medical students and 200 House staff. Our latest renovation includes the simulation education center and the intensive care unit. As such, you will experience a broad spectrum of tertiary care specialties in a rich learning environment.
At Henry Ford Providence, we have thriving fellowship programs in Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Hematology/Oncology, and Pulmonary/Critical Care. Our program has produced outstanding residents who have succeeded in entering their desired fellowships and their future career endeavors.
