As a program that serves a diverse community, we are committed to recruiting residents that mirror our community. We will purposely attend recruitment fairs that target this group. Our website also showcases our resident group which serves to encourage applicants that we are a diverse program where all are welcome. When selecting those candidates to interview, we will be inclusive of all candidates and do not discriminate against any group based on race, age, gender, sexual orientation or other. Once any resident is accepted into our program, we match them with an advisor who is committed to seeing them succeed. Our institution Ascension and our program are committed to continuous improvement and achieving the framework called ABIDE, which is built upon the hallmarks of Appreciation – Belongingness – Inclusivity – Diversity – Equity
